Vicious Rabbit: Brief Plot Summary
After being rescued by a friendly blue jay, you, Vicious L. Rabbit, get a medical degree and open up the Restoration Lab to help birds who have been injured, mainly from flying into glass. Several felines decide that there needs to be more glass since they enjoy eating the birds after collision, so they open up the Pane Factory and build weapons of glass destruction, and they also sabotage your Restoration Lab so the birds aren't able to recover. It's your job to shut down their greedy plan as well as re-open your lab by collecting fruit to provide fructose energy to the lab and by stomping through enemies along the way who are threats to the peace of the world! Will you just hop around, or will you be the unexpected hero -- the Vicious Rabbit?
Author's Note
Phew, this is my magnum opus in the programming field from the last 16 months of my life. I taught myself a new programming language, made a level editor and engine from scratch (everything except for the DX wrapper), made all the music, sound effects, art, plot, etc. It was a grueling task, but I think it's well worth it, and I hope you enjoy. The plot is whimsical, fun, and the gameplay is intuitive, fast, and again -- fun! There are Scriptural, moral, and positive themes and unlocks throughout the game, so the content is not nearly all gameplay. The full game is about 55 MB installed and costs $5 plus an optional donation. Any donations will be used toward existence, and at least 10% of whatever I make is going to a charity or Christian service organization outside of what I am involved with currently. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy! - Sterling (Romans 10:9-10)
Features
Explore over 200 levels in various areas and game modes -- Vicious is able to run, jump, wall jump, single-wall scale (especially with certain items), and collect fruits. He is able to juice fruits, which is a very good and tasty skill, as well! The game has full-featured music and sound effects, with art, plot, and programming all by Sterling C. Franklin.
